Oughtibridge Cabs is a local operator located in the scenic North of Sheffield, ran by local people. Our aim is to provide a personal service to give you a first class travel experience at a realistic price.
We welcome bookings from both private and corporate clients. We are always actively looking to build new client relationships.
Simply we take pride in what we do, and we firmly believe that we offer levels of customer care only found in a family business. From your first contact with us we aim to take the time to understand your needs, focus on your specific requirements and offer you advice and support where required.

The Family

Everyone gets involved in one way or another from answering the phone to helping out with some driving or taking charge of the Grandchildren whilst others help.

The business started trading on 01.12.2003, but I started driving for Redmires Travel in Lodgemoor which was run by Alan Scrafield who is still a very good friend, he encouraged me to start on my own so I started training back in February to obtain the required driving licence and qualify as a Transport Manager for Passenger Vehicles by obtaining a C.P.C. in passenger transport.

I was made redundant in my previous employment as Production Planning and Purchasing Manager at a local Paper Mill where I had worked for 32 years, doing 18 jobs in this time, everytime I decided to leave another opportunity arose and so I stayed.

I then obtained my Coach Operators Licence in July 2003, purchased a computer, printer, fax etc, so I could start advertising and then bought a bus from Nielsen Yeomans (still a very good friend) who at the time (retired now) ran Nielsen’s Travel, this was on 27th October 2003, I spent two months having it resprayed and various other jobs done to it and as I stated earlier I started trading on 01.12.2003.

I took the bus every where to get it seen and attract business, and still travel every where in my buses, as I get so many enquiries from people who say they have seen me around.
